May the rain wash away your worries…

Drove up to Peachtree City this morning to visit the grandchildren and attend my granddaughter Handley’s chorus concert. The drive up was so pretty, dark blue skies, cloudless and clear. The trees and shrubs are budding and donning their Easter suits of green and I counted countless colors of green watercolors on Mother Nature’s art palette — jade green, celadon, pistachio, avocado, forest green, hunter green…more than I could describe.

I loved looking ahead on the highway noticing the pinks and whites of the blooming ornamental trees in contrast with the green pine forests lining the highway. We should be grateful we can watch the blooming Spring and not look out onto a bombed and burned landscape. I’ve often wondered if birds sing in the war zones of the world.

Didn’t watch the sunset, I was watching a beautiful group of fourth and fifth graders smiling and singing happily. I love seeing all the proud parents and grandparents and I wished Chief had been sitting on the seat by me watching our granddaughter singing her little heart out. I’ve had a full day and I’m laying my head down tonight with happy thoughts and thankfulness for the day.

Closing with one of my favorite prayers.

An Apache Blessing — May the sun bring you new energy by day, may the moon softly restore you by night, may the rain wash away your worries, may the breeze blow new strength into your being, may you walk gently through the world and know it’s beauty all the days of your life.

“Tonight as the sun sets put down your troubles. Count your blessings. Remind yourself whatever you did today was enough. Tomorrow is another day. A fresh start. A new beginning.” — Brambleavenue
