I see a portal to heaven…

The sun was beaming down into the middle of these beautiful golden clouds yesterday. I felt I could see a portal to heaven.

Today was another blue sky summer day, beautifully dressed in its clear sunshine and white fluffy clouds. Been watering my flowers and vegetables but they really need some of nature’s rainfall. The birds and squirrels and one little chipmunk visited the bird baths frequently for a drink of water. I moved the bird baths into the shade for them so the water wouldn’t be hot. Heat hasn’t seemed to bother the birdies. They’ve all been singing their bird songs all day.

Been thinking about heaven today. I saw a wondrous cloud formation last night. Didn’t last long and the camera didn’t catch its glory but in middle of the cloud gathering of yellows and golds and oranges, a three dimensional round opening appeared and the setting sun shone right down into that space. The colors were magnificent and made me immediately think of a portal opening from heaven welcoming a soul home. I could almost see a stairway as I studied the clouds. A few short minutes and the clouds gelled together and the view was gone. The colors were so unusual in these clouds, regal colors of golds and violets and purples. It was a wondrous sight.

The Bible doesn’t answer all the questions we have about heaven but everyone has their own concept of what heaven is. I like to think it’s a glorious extension of Earth where we carry on with our lives with those gone ahead of us. I know heaven will be a place of peace and love and worship.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. — Revelation 21:4.

I honestly don’t think I could carry on with the rest of my life if I wasn’t assured I would be reunited with Chief and Rosie. It’s a comfort to me that my faith gives me the hope of a glorious reunion in the paradise of heaven.
