“When you believe beyond what your eyes can see…”

The Lord created a beautiful day full of singing birds and bright sunshine. I sat in the swing and let the sunshine warm my bare feet and looked out over my neighborhood thankful for my blessings. Today is my mother’s 100th birthday. I just wonder if birthdays are celebrated in heaven. An unusually large flock of cardinals in the yard today, maybe it’s mama celebrating her birthday here with family.

The faithful cardinals stayed in the yard till deep dusk. They love the day’s gloaming when the other birds head for their roosts, leaving the cardinals to finish their dinner in the ending of day when the earth is still and silent. Never see a cardinal that I don’t hear the phrase, “Cardinals appear when angels are near.” Cardinals symbolize hope, life, and restoration. Seeing cardinals are reminders of departed loved ones. I always feel one of the cardinals is Chief, sending me cheer for another day.

Not many words tonight. Just a small prayer by Ralph Waldo Emerson — “For flowers that bloom about our feet; For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet; For song of bird, and hum of bee; For all things fair we hear or see; Father in heaven, we thank Thee!”

Good night, all!

“When you believe beyond what your eyes can see, signs from heaven show up to remind you that love never dies.” — Unknown
