There is always beauty in a storm…
Ate breakfast in the swing this morning watching the fighting finches and the faithful cardinals. The most beautiful dove has been in my yard today. Her gray coloring matches the clouds in the sky. She’s an Eurasian dove, has a black kerchief band around her neck, dressed in a feather color chart of light grays…

Birds sing after a storm…
Ate a tomato sandwich for breakfast while I pondered in the porch swing this morning. Little odd to eat that, I know, but I’ve been anticipating eating that tomato for several days. That plant is pretty pitiful, a big stalk and few branches, but it’s covered in tomatoes. The tomato was delicious. I picked two…

The glory of gardening…
Pondered in the swing this morning eating my bagel. The bagel was spread with delicious cherry preserves from the Mercier Family Orchard market store in Blue Ridge, Ga. So very delicious! Mercier Orchard started in 1943 and is celebrating 80 years of harvests, four generations of their family. What a great tradition for their family.…

Life’s simple pleasures…
Eating my bagel and fruit on the porch of the cabin in Blue Ridge. The sun rose outside my porch door this morning turning the clouds beautiful shades of pink and orange. Have heard roosters crowing, pileated woodpeckers calling their mates, crows and blue jays cawing in the distance, and I’ve seen buzzards circling over…

The river has great wisdom…
My pondering view this morning is from a big lime green inner tube floating down the Toccoa River in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Most fun I’ve ever had! Guess you can teach an old dog new tricks! The river is beautiful and peaceful, winding like a grossgrain ribbon along green banks colored with blooming pinkish white…

Life’s greatest blessing…
Ate cheese toast with strawberry jelly this morning on the porch swing pondering about life and how fast times flies. Sitting in the swing I see summer blue sky and low fluffy clouds, lazily changing shapes and slowly floating by on the horizon. I filled all the bird feeders at dusk yesterday so lots of…

Be a rainbow in someone’s cloud…
Ate a Jack’s biscuit for breakfast in the swing this morning. Going on a trip to the mountains one day soon. Been running around getting things together. Missed my early morning pondering. Pondering now with a dove cooing close by accompanied by a faint wind chime orchestra. Great breeze, very light blue sky, few low…

A simple thank you is very powerful…
Another beautiful day on planet Earth. In honor of oldest sister-in-law I declare today’s sky Feltman Brothers’ blue. If you raised a child in a small Southern town you know the color. There are a few clouds floating around this morning and they all look like oyster shells. God just touched his bright white pastel…
