Watching the news tonight as most and thinking about how America and her citizens are struggling. America is boiling over and it’s frightening. We seem to have lost our respect for one another. We all need to get on our knees tonight and pray for America and her citizens.

Pray that the Lord will guide us and heal all the brokenness that is paralyzing our land. We need to pray for our nation’s leaders for God to give them the wisdom and courage to do what is right. Pray we learn to agree to disagree without violence. Pray we learn how to have respect for ourselves and for others.

Pray for the homeless and hungry sleeping on our streets and for those struggling with alcohol and drug addictions. Pray for young couples to raise their children with kindness and compassion for others, teaching them right from wrong, and to value life as a gift from God. Pray for America’s citizens to respect the act of voting as a privilege of our freedom.

We are so blessed in America in so many ways but we’re too busy being miserable to appreciate her beauty and her freedoms. Psalm 33:12 reads, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.” God hears our prayers and can heal America. Please pray for her!
